The Ibn Arabi Ensemble has taken up the challenge of reviving music from this heritage in the Siddiqia Zaouia, tucked away in the hearth of the casbah in Tangiers-no easy task in musical, aesthetic or philosophical terms, but the result is a hauntingly beautiful album, singular and unforgettable.
